I have probably been sitting slightly low for years and the pregnancy just kicked it over the edge.

I am also on 100 mg of Thyroxine. I had a lot of trouble bfing from when DS turned about 6 weeks old (prior to then I had LOADS of milk) and had to take domperidone to help- however I also have PCOS so it could be to do with that. The Thyroxine is safe to take when UTD and when bfing. Symptoms I had were weight gain/hard to lose weight and extreme tiredness...good luck!

Edited for crappy spelling

Edited by apriletta

Mine is Hashimoto's (autoimmune) but the medication is the same. Since your body doesn't produce enough thyroid hormone, you just have to take replacement thyroid hormone. I've been told that it doesn't affect the baby since it's the hormone that's already present in your body anyway. Will be doing more research into it when I get pg, I think I will just need to take a slightly higher dose.
