Wish I knew the answer to this one! My DD eats everything - sticks, leaves, grass, dirt, sand, paper, bits of stuff on the floor, her clothes, playdoh, crayons, soap etc. She's not quite as bad as she used to be (growing out of it hopefully) but I still have to watch her closely in the bath (soap) and at the beach and park (sand and bark)

ETA to add - not quite everything, she doesn't eat her dinner most nights!

LOL .. good luck .. the only thing that would work is if you cut their hand off .. and then they would prob just lie on the ground and vacuum stuff up using their mouth. *sigh*

You cant really..you just have to keep telling them no when they do it and they grow out of it. I don't think you can... at the stage my two are almost 1 year its still how they learn about things.
