Hey I know!!

Umm I went on the mini pill at about 3-6 months (but DP wasn't keen) from 6 weeks - 3 months was on Depo and after 6 months back on Depo but the Family Planning nurse told me I could go on the Combined Pill as I had been BFing past 6 months (she said to me 6 months was the min) but my doctor knew nothing about it so wouldn't prescribe it to me. Have a chat to your doctor and get her/him to research it if they aren't sure but I was told 6 months before you can take it so your supply can settle etc.

eta: I haven't gone on it yet, am waiting for Depo to wear off in a months time then going to try and we'll still be BFing.

Kellymom (great website by the way!) says it's safe, but that it COULD affect milk supply.

I've done a little research and it appears that taking the CP doesn't neccesarily affect BF. Hi there minxynzl-just found this topic, didnt know you could breast feed on the combined pill??  Just got a script for the mini, thought that was the only one you could take??? Sorry completely new at this so have no idea
