cant help with number one but for number 2 I would say yes try it, should be fine! And I agree with those that have said to just put the kids names on the invites!

Oh and most lawyers are NOT free, my old work charged about $150 per will, less if it's incredibly basic, more if it involves a trust. 1. Don't use Public Trust unless you want to give your family a headache when you die. They're a PITA (speaking from someone who used to work at a law firm and had a lot of colleagues fighting on behalf of family to clear up things with the Public Trust).

2. Shampoo will be fine to give a go - just do it. If it doesn't work out (he gets a rash or something), stop using it. Quite simple really.

3. millymolly - my lawyer is at GQ and is doing mine for free as well, although it may also be because they're already getting a lot of money out of me anyway lol

We paid a $100 for our lawyer to do both of ours and that was more for their time not the will itself.
I wouldn't go via Public Trust.

We set ours up so it didn't need to be changed once kids came along, as its getting it changed frequently that costs add up.

With children's parties the invites are usually to the child and then their Mum or guardian comes too. Will you be caterring for the Mums? Dh wouldn't come to a children's party unless he was specifically invited.

Our will was from one of the swankiest firms in town (Govett Quliiam Tictacjunkie - if you need to get one done) and was totally free, plus we were told we could change at any time for free. Maybe it was because they had already done legal work for house sale and purchases, but I don't think so. Before that I had one done from another firm, again it didn't cost a cent. Maybe they feel sorry for me or its my wit and charm! DH's will cost around $300 to do, still got to do mine. I wouldn't recommend the Public Trust as dh's family had huge problems with them after his grandfather died (they basically tried to sell everything out from under his grandmother), and because they still charge but they settle the bill after you've died, taking hourly fees from the estate that are far higher than what they would be from a lawyer, also, if you decide to write a new will at any stage in the future without Public Trust they will send you the bill then. Sorry, not a fan of nasty surprises!
Ecostore mum here as well, or just water.
Invites- I'd put baby's names on the invites, the mums are implied with that, they are hardly going to drop them off when they're only young! What do you mean wills are free from any lawyer? I always thought they charged a couple of hundred dollars to do one up for you. That would be brill.

I am with Public Trust cos we needed to do one in a hurry and had no $$ at the time but man they clean you out if anything happens so would like to change.

I only ever put the child's name on invites.

Wills are free from any lawyer, its one of the few public services they give, personally I'd use the opportunity to talk stuff through, its surprising what potential issues are. Heaps cheaper than $30!

With the invites i'd put "baby name" and family, if you want both parents to come.

We used Public Trust for our wills, it was the first time we had made a will & it was all quite straight forward. There were lots of wee things we hadn't even considered before we met with them & they were really helpful working through it with us so i would definitely recommend them.

Wills - you can get a will kit from Whitcholls, was about $30 I think and it tell you what to do, thats what DH and aI did the first time. Remember to put in your will who you want to be the legal guardian/s of your DS if you both pass away

Shampoo - I hardly ever use shampoo or soap on the boys, water is enough to keep them clean most of the time and it doesn't dry out their skin

We just got a free will kit, and wrote ours. Given we didn't really have much to leave, and just wanted to have something in writing before we went overseas.

We printed several copies and gave it to family members on both sides so everyone was aware of our wishes.

I agree put the kids names on the invites

2 - we are still using the hairy macleary stuff from the wharehouse cause emily loves the dog on it, we did try to use other stuff one day and it was like the end of the world cause the dog was gone,

1. Don't know sorry! I am will-less.

2. I didn't get brave enough to stop using baby shampoo on DD until she was 2. She has always had quite dry and sensitive skin. The first one we tried was the Johnsons Junior and she cries/screams if it goes in her eyes. Also I find that her head gets stinky after only one nap (from sweat). Have changed back to Baby shampoo and her head smells nice again for longer.

3. Hi There

I have a few questions:

1) Im looking at making my and my partners wills, we are only 20 and dont have one but now we have DS i think it is essential to have one, we are looking at doing one though public trust as we dont have the money to pay for a lawyer to do one at this stage. Can anyone give me some info on how they felt using public trust, if they were good or not ?

2) Im wanting to start using that Johnsons Junior on DS, for his hair, we have been using Aveeno since he was little as he had a little bit of dry skin, he still has it but hardly if at all, at what age did u start using this ? The bottle dosnt say a age

3)DS's birthday is comming up and im doing the invitations, i am inviting people that go to my baby group, but im wondering weather it would be rude to only put the mothers name and the babies name on the invite since i only know them and not the partners ? Im not too sure if i do or not, ive never had to organise something like that before
