Im glad I didnt end up renting that house! We looked at it a few years back!

Mould is VERY hard to get off curtains, once its been there a while(and sounds like it has) it sticks like Sh*t to a blanket. I would try that curtain place in takanini and if that didnt work, then eeeek, new ones?

I don't think she got it tho.

Vinegar or lemon juice and lie the curtains flat in the sun? Curtains are bloody expensive. I'm guessing it's a landlord situation? Really it is not your fault it is a damp house, there is nothing you can do to prevent some moulding on curtains if the house is damp.

How big is the mould spot (and how big are the curtains). I have some curtains i've just taken down in our house if you need some! They are in great nick but we have just done up Alex's bedroom.

It worked really, really well and I didn't have to do it a second time though you just repeat as necessary.

Edited by MrsEmma
