We had our newborn photographs done by Karyn Flett and they are OUTSTANDING!!!! She is soooooo good with babies and totally loves them. Shes in the Waikato but we have been to her for newborn sessions and more as they grow. I am a total addict and check out her Facebook page religously lol I may need to have another baby just so I can have her do newborn photos again!

Check out her website, she has won a ton of awards and is the best imo.

DH is keep on getting pre-bubs tummy photos and newborn photos. As long as I don't look like a whale I'll be happy :)

We have had Stephanie Creagh photography do all our baby and family shots, and our wedding. I had the ones done by Hatched - she's fantastic and the photos were great - although you don't get very many. The session is free and the prints are very reasonably priced. PM me if you want the link to our photos.

Katrina Johns at Accent Photography.

She has a first year package, where you can get four sessions throughout the first year. Not sure of the cost for that, but it means some really cool photos when your baby is newborn right through to their first birthday. She's also very good and very flexible. She's the owner so doesn't have to stick to a set package or rate, just talk to her about what you want. Google 'Accent Photography' for her website. I agree Momentz is fantastic - we have had family p hoto's done twice and recommend them for price and quality - and Sarah is lovely :-)

We have also used moments a few times, they did baby shots with Emily and also included our other baby the dog which was really special, they also did my sil wedding and toddler shots with Emily, now i just have to wait for them to come south again for Charlotte lol. I would highly reccomend them

I've used Bianca Duimel Photography for shots of my girls (not NB a bit older though) and was very happy with her. She is a very lovely lady and accommodating so will probably just put them on disk for you if that's what you want.

We have used Momentz for baby photos with DS1 and have them booked for the end of this month for newborn shots of number 2!! We love them!

Hi all,
I'm popping over from the due in May 2011 thread just to ask a quick question.
I'm looking to get some NB photos done (I'm in Auckland, and if all goes well I'll be giving birth at BirthCare)

Bithcare has a photographer who comes on Saturdays - Hatched photography - has anyone used them?
Also I heard about Jo Frances photography from the parent and child expo last year.
Both of these seem rather expensive and I want the photos on a hi-res disk so I can print them as I like.
There seems to be a lot of people on here who like Momentz photography - I'm just not sure.

Any suggestions would be great. This is my first baby and I excited, scared and really have no clue what I'm doing.
