Just keep an eye on him now that it is getting along in the days. My son had a bug going on 5 days and on the 5th day I rushed him to A & E because he was having chest pains. His potassium had got so low it was effecting his heart. So definately keep the fluids going and the pedialyte. That was in the states so that little a & e visit cost us nearly $1000 after insurance paid their bit.   Glad we didn't get the full bill. BessieBear poor kiddies and poor you

When DS had gastro, all we could do was ride it out and it was awful. We took him to A/H's and were given pedialyte which was the only thing he could keep down/in. There was a heck of a lot of cleaning up that week, sheets were changed 4-5 times a day and a couple of times over night. It's so awful that there's nothing you can really do but wait it out.

Whats norovirus, is it different to rotovirus???

We sent DS off to IL's house, we thought he was all better but he's vomited twice while down there and past the bug to them so he's now into his 5th day of it, DH and DD both started off with the vomiting and now they just have VERY lose BMs, they are in their 3rd day of it.

But I'm still fine and I'm the one who's been cleaning up everything.

DD had one a couple of days ago - just rode it out, I felt so bad for her but she wasn't dehydrated (I have no idea how!) considering she didn't eat or drink a thing for those 2 days and what she did drink - always cam straight back up .

We have norovirus and there is 6 people living here, DP & I, DD, my mum + my mum's mum and dad and so far we've all go it but DD is better. She's off at MILs atm because we're all so sick and tired and I felt bad because she just wanted to play but we're all pretty sick.

Hope it passes quickly for you guys and that you guys don't get it too! Unless you think they are dehydrated or it's taking more than 48 hours to make a turn for the better, then yep, just ride it out. All you can do is fluids and ride it out Im afraid :(

The kids had a nasty one a few months abck, Bella was the worst and she just gagged and vomitted all morning and couldnt keep a thing down, it was awful and broke my heart, she started brining up that nasty bile too.
A lemonade iceblock stayed down in the end and she enjoyed it! We just kept heaps of towels handy and a bucket, we could tell with Caden when he was going to chuck as he would cough first and then chuck.

DS has had one the last 2 days, and now DD has it.
Do you just ride it out and keep them hydrated?? Its horrible seeing such a little body try to empty their stomachs like that.
We tryed to get DS to vom. in a bucket but he just wouldn't he'd push it away, he's know he was going to vom. as he'd say sickies but then just vom everywhere.
