Bought it second hand 2 years ago.<br />Best washing machine I have ever used.... things come out cleaner and not all crumpled.. I have been able to not iron DHs shirts because they just aren't as wrinkled.<br />The quick wash is less than half an hour.. I use the long washes overnight with towels, or sheets and they come out so clean and nice..<br />Ohh.. plus with a front loader you don't use as much powder/liquid.. I buy ecostore 500gm packs and they would last us probably 5-6 weeks (doing 5-7 washes a week)<br />]]>

Well made and panasonic is a great brand, service men love them if they ever have any issues with them, whichis hardly ever they are easy to fix/great to deal with.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=23526">MrsMc</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 37326<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 06 January 2011 at 6:30pm<br /><br />i have a fisher & Paykel aquasmart brought 2yrs ago (top of the line one with the LCD screen)<br /><br />LOVE it!!!<br /><br />Has cycles for everything (whites, colours, delicates, wool, tea towels, sleeping bags, denim, mud, blood, grass stain, sheets, blankets, throws, a cleaning cycle and plenty more but i cant remember them right now)<br /><br />Its economical as it runs similar to a front loader but its not.<br />Always gets the washing nice and clean too, I've got no complaints<br /><br />My in-laws have a bosch front loader, and the love it, but when we were living with them I loathed the thing. took forever to wash and that was on the quick cycle, would put hubbys socks, grubby but not extremely dirty, in and they would come out looking the same as when they went in only wet.<br /><br />Also the rubber seal on the door would collect hair, lint, and water and stunk so bad.<br /><br />that put me off front loaders for life]]>

It does take a while to do a cycle but that is mainly cos it heats its own water as well. (sorry I don't know the model #)<br />The energy & water ratings are really good.<br />It has a tilted drum so you don't have to climb in the thing to check you've got everything out<img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0"> <br />Also it says you can add washing at any stage of the wash (so far I've only added stuff about 5 mins in and haven't had a flood<img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley10.gif" border="0"> )<br />I would never ever ever go back to a top loader.<br />It has heaps of different setting but is so easy to use that DP can drive it<img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif" border="0"> <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif" border="0"> <br />]]>

It does every function noted in above posts, although like the first response you can't open the door once a cycle has begun - if you're desperate, you have to stop the function and drain it before turning it off for a couple of minutes to reset the door lock and then start all over again once you've done what you needed to do<img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0"> It has never really affected me though.<br /><br />The height of the chamber has never bothered me either, and I get regular sciatic pain. This is what we were told as we were going to go for a front loader but the shop assistant talked us out of it and oddly enough talked up the cheaper model! <br /><br />Also our washing machine does delicate, wool, heavy duty or normal washes, has 3 water temps cold, warm or hot, you can 'edit' how long you wash for and it also has water level too.<br /><br />Our old machine had delayed start function which was great! ]]>

I would never go back to a toploader  <br /><br />Only thing that annoys me is our washing machine is 7kg and the dryer is only 5kg!
