In Batemans Bay on the coast of NSW... about 4 hours south of Sydney.

DH has not made a final decision, so could swing either way at this point.

I think that if I was to go over there, I would also want to come home for a holiday once or twice a year.

I just wonder if I would get lonely, having a baby and no friends there (intially)...

Yeah we are doing it temporarily to make money off these crazy aussies then will bail home once we either have enough money saved for massive deposit or one of us gets a great job back home...the benefit of being a sahm is just too good to pass up for me, so even tho I miss home and don't love it where we are, it is a temp thing and so worth it to get ahead.

Where are you gonna be? I find it quite hard here at times, I miss my friends a lot. However, what makes it so much better as we said right from the start that we will only be here for a few years. Just enough to get us on top of things and be able to fix up our house nz while we can afford it. We are coming back in about 9 months

Yip. Once I was there, I loved it
We ended up only being over there for 10 months as the next contract DP was to go to got cancelled.
I was pooping myself about it and about a week before I went (he left before me) I had a meltdown and thought I couldn't do it, but a week after being there wondered why we hadn't done it sooner.

DH has been approached by a company in Australia, and he is considering moving (as it will be fantastic for his career and good $$)

I am all for him doing what he needs to do, to get ahead and have a better life for our family, but im NERVOUS!!....... and know I will be upset to have to leave my family... but I do know that I will be thankful that we can have enough money that I dont need to go back to work, and can buy our own home...

Im torn.... has anyone else ever been in this situation??
