I've got a nipple-preparation cream for pregnant ladies - I'm using it only because it's already here... Ouch - no toothbrush going anywhere near my boobies!

I did nothing with Maya, and had no problems with cracked nipples etc. Did use a bit of Purelan cream after she was born at the midwifes suggestion.

Ouch! I exposed my nipples to sun light (not direct) when ever I could and that helped a bit...because tho I had sore nipples after Zaara was born...it could have been worse (according to my MW)...she told me to put cream on nipple and expose to sun light......helped heaps!!

Brushing her nipple with a tooth brush. Did she enjoy that sort of pain?? I didn't do anything until after I had my monster. Youll find its older ppl that tell you that. Its something that they made women do about 30 years or so ago. lol. Its basicly an old wives tail. I haven't heard that you need to do anything like that. Weird question but I have heard a couple of people mention about preparing your nipples for breast feeding ie making them tougher by putting stuff on them or moving them around. Are you supposed to do anything like this? I have't been but thought I should ask in case I should be?
