It's my wee man's 1st birthday and we are going to have his presents and cake in the arvo with Christmas lunch and still have our traditional family Xmas gifting in the early morning. As for invites etc we're letting all his friends and our extended family know they are welcome to come and share his cake throughout the day and the following as he will be baptised then to commemorate his grandmothers 5th year anniversary of her passing. So yep yep, a busy Xmas for us too

I love putting up the christmas tree and decorating the house. Its so exciting.

I have not got any presents yet. Um still not sure. I have the kids presents sorted ish. The grimace part is having to spend time with the FIL, althou that could change depending on what other people are going to be doing.

hmmm I'm a bit mixed, don't know how we will afford it everything has changed still so used to living on two incomes. BUT I know DD will love it regardless! She got spoilt last year especially by my besties and I already know she is being spoilt this year. Same here Mrs Emma, well we didn't do when I was kids but have started doing with DS...last year I got an ornament from snapfish with his scan on hahahaha! Looked cute, sounds weird but was cute.

I love xmas but for the last three years have had stinky ones, last two away from family and the year before I was ill so am hoping this year is wicked! ereynolds my family has always done a Christmas tree decoration tradition. Every year my parents either chose for us (when we were too young) or we chose a decoration for the tree. Mum noted down who's were who's and when we left home, we took those decorations to start off our own Christmas tree. We will be doing the same starting with DS this year

I totally grimaced sadly! Never have much enjoyed Christmas- I tend to blame my mum who stressed so much it lost all its fun. Might be different with bubs having his first christmas though.
We have thought about starting our own family traditions from this year on- has anyone else done this? If so, what did you do?

Am happy christmas is not that far away now as I am due on 21 Dec with our first boy :D so probably wont be that organised.

It will also be good as DF grandparents are coming over from the UK at the start of Dec till Feb, looking forward to meeting them.

Otherwise, bring on 25 Dec, love all the yummy food our families make.

Happy but scary and expensive. It'll be our first year with a tree and decorations. Have to work out where to put it as well. It's 2 weeks after DD's 1st birthday so will be quite an exciting Christmas.

We're organised for DD but no one else! I've got DDs Xmas presents, though want to get her a couple of other things too. I have her BDay presents sorted too but that's not til late Feb!

DD will be 10 months by Xmas so will be lots of fun! Looking forward to enjoying Xmas this year as last year I was UTD and didn't feel like lunch and the year before I had a terrible hang over (for 3 days...)

We're going away Boxing Day and Xmas this year is going to be super busy! We're doing Breakfast at MILs parents, Lunch at FIL parents and then Dinner at my mums parents house... Busy! But we don't have to bring anything other than ourselves really

This will be our first Christmas in NZ in around 8 years so we are really really looking forward to it... or at least I am, my DH is a bit in shock at the thought of a huge family affair when its just been us pretty much for most of our life together!!!

Will be interesting to see if a warm Christmas feels more 'right' than the cold ones we have had of late.

Bring it on...love xmas, DH & I are going xmas shopping for the boys on Monday...so excited, love toys, lol

DS2 b'day is the 11/12

MrsEmma I will be doing the early xmas/b'day shop next yr also...great idea

The kids are young enough to really enjoy it...so heaps of prezzys this yr...

We also do the Dutch xmas on the 5/12....

I so love xmas had the best memorises as a kid & so want my kids to have the same

Love christmas and have bought a whole houseload of lights for the outside this year. Got them on trademe and I have already designed what I am going to do with them. We have over 10 of those plastic storage boxes (60 l) of inside decorations so we will be having a sort out and cleansing of the decs this year. I think 5 trees is too much so will be getting rid of a few. One is too small but is it sentimental. We bought it whilst in england having my daughters heart surgery. We had to stay for a month over the christmas period and I just couldn't not have a tree in the hotel room.

I also have two daughters birthdays on the 9th of dec. It is a biggie for the 5year old but the 14 year old can have a sleep over or something.

As for presents we are hoping to cut right back now that the kids are getting bigger and our house is getting smaller. Too much stuff already.

For us it is the decorations and preparation for christmas. Oh my goodness!!!! 100 days, wow, time flys doesn't it.

I am looking forward to christmas this year, will be the first year in a while that I can eat ALL the yummy foods on offer (last year I was pregnant and the year before we were TTC and in the TWW).

DS will be on the move and into everything by then, will be great to be able to share the holiday with him and start our own wee traditions. But gosh, that means we will have to start actually thinking and preparing for it.

Still can't believe its only 100 days Blimey.

I love love love love Christmas, always have & always will It's great having DS now as I don't have to try to control my excitement, hhahhahahaha.

No spesh plans so far, will just enjoy having DH off for three weeks (office closed so enforced leave). Hopefully will do lots of family things like picnics, going to the beach, swimming in MIL's pool etc etc.

SO excited, LOVE Christmas! We have bought all of DS's presents in the toy sales earlier this year (for both Christmas and his birthday in January).

I have been waiting years to have Christmas with our children and although DS will still be too young to realise what's going on - I can't wait!! Now I get to be a kid again when it comes to Christmas - Yusss!!
