Pretty much exactly what Kellz said.

I would stop packet reading, and if she ok with u having stuff that contains dairy, then I would try having cottage cheese and plain natural yogurt (the cyclops brand one is yum) as those are usually the most tollerated dairy products.
Leave at least 2 weeks between each type of dairy product you intorduce. Its a slow tedious process, but reactions can take up to 2 weeks to show, so its easier if u only have one thing it could be , rather than then having to cut everything new out of your diet again and starting from scratch again!

If she then doesn't react at all to what you eat you should be fine to start introducing dairy at around 9ish month, or you could leave it till 12 months just to be sure.

They normally recommend introducing dairy in baking/cooking first then go for the milk/yoghurt/cheese and little bits at a time slowly building up.

Also you may find that she can tolerate you eat some dairy but not to much or you may find when she goes on dairy that she copes well with a yoghurt every other day but reacts if she has more etc.

    Author: T_Rex
Subject: 35212
Posted: 12 August 2010 at 2:52pm

When and how did you go about reintroducing dairy to your diet, and to theirs?

I've been dairy free since DD was 10 weeks old, and it made a huge difference to her. At 5.5 months (about a week after she started solids), I ate a sandwich at a cafe that had dairy in the margarine, and she puked and screamed for a day. Then at 7 months, I had a brain explosion and merrily made myself a cup of tea with milk whilst in a meeting with a client - obviously my mind was in professional mode, not mum-mode. It only occurred to me a few days later what I'd done, when I turned down the offer of a cuppa from someone else. So if it even bothered her, it wasn't enough for me to notice

So this weekend I've had a couple of slices of cheese and got away with it, although DH made me a milo with milk after the cheese seemed ok and she puked a bit extra, but didn't scream about it.

Her reflux generally has got so much better since she's been on solids. We haven't used gaviscon in a good month or so.

So - what did you do? What would you do if you were me? I think I'm nearly brave enough to stop obsessively packet reading, but I'd love to hear other's experiences. Especially about when should I think about letting her eat dairy if she's ok with me eating dairy?

I should add that all the issues seem to be related to the reflux, she's never had diarrhoeaa or anything else in response.
