I'm pretty sure Homegrown Kids are based in Tauranga as well they were pretty helpful when I talked to them, though they just give you the carers details and you contact them not the other way where they go with you to meet the carer.

Hi Kaybee,

My two children (2 & 3) go to BFHC and they are fantastic!!! I would totally recommend them to you!! They offer so many fun activities for your children to attend as part of their weekly routines, i.e playgroup once a week. And once a month they go on a trip somewhere really cool!! All of that is paid for by BFHC!
Also their 20 hours is FREE! There is no added costs. My children have been through Daycare and now Homebased, and I would have to say, I am more than satisfied with BFHC, I would not even consider going back the other way!!

Hi Kaybee!
My friend (and next door neighbour) is a home based child carer with with BHBC.
She's currently looking for more kiddies to look after. However, I think she's after 2/3 year olds (she has a 2.5 year old and a 10 month old of her own - and looks after a 2 year old a couple of afternoons a week).
I'm happy to talk to her for you, see if she's happy to take on a wee one?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone from the Bay can recommend, or has heard of, any good home-based childcarers in Otumoetai/Matua area?

I have arranged to go see a couple of people through Bay Family Homebased Childcare, and have a consultant from PORSE coming to see me next week, but thought that I'd also ask on here in case anyone has any recommendations for carers or the organisations that provide them. Any to avoid would also be good to know!
