I'll have a read of kellymom when both are in bed later .

I think I'll stick with it for now & keep offering it. I just worry that he's only having the one proper feed per day & that it's not enough for him. He does eat a lot of food & drink water so I guess he's ok in that respect.

I'm one of the lucky ones & got my period back when Olie was not quite 4 months old. It is due in a few days so I wonder if that's a factor.

Thanks again

Try your hardest not to take it personally.
It is totally up to you if you feel you are both ready to wean.

Also I think that is around when we dropped the mid day feed and it was pushed to mid arvo feed.

Also do you have AF back & if not maybe that's what's happening?

I know that it's hard around that age but you can get through it. I think I just had to tell A that she had to wait until I was done as he was so distracted. She didn't mind once I explained to her properly & then she got to watch TV

If you want to keep going, then I'd contact LLL for some advice and tips on how to keep going.

(and I've just re-read and seen you'd like to keep going) ... in which case, I'd get some advice and try for a couple more weeks. It may well be a phase and persisting for a bit more will get you through it. And if that doesn't work, at least you'll know you've tried (if that makes sense)

He was having 3 BFs a day. 6 days ago he wouldn't feed at lunchtime & I didn't think much of it. It has now got to the point where he'll only feed first thing in the morning & I can't get him to have anymore feeds for the rest of the day . He just won't have a bar of it.

I suspect he may be teething & he has been biting me a fair bit too. Other than that I really can't think of any other reason why he's suddenly gone off it...

I would like to continue BF'ing but am finding it a real (emotional) struggle at the moment what with the complete refusal & biting

What would you do? Persevere or flag it? He hasn't had a bottle since he was tiny so I'm not sure if he'd take one or not...
