I used "Sleeping like a baby" by Pinky Mckay and "No cry sleep solution" by Elizabeth Pantley when I did this with Jack and will do the same if necessary with Ben as he sometimes feeds to sleep. This may naturally lead to some feeds dropping out.

You dont want to be replacing all her 8+bf's with that many bottle feeds. Its liekly she is just feeding some of those times for comfort, escpecially since she is feeding to sleep. The sleepstore has good info on how to gently stop feeding a baby to sleep, along the lines of replacing the confort of feeding with an object like a taggy blanket that u both hold while feeding, then gradulaly put betwwen you both, so eventually you are just cuddling her before bed and she had the taggy blanket to cuddle too.

Just put in what ever she will drink out of & don't give her boob no matter how much she wants it.

By adding in cheese, yoghurt & cows milk you should be giving her enough calcium.

We're just going from four to three feeds a day at the moment.

Maybe you could try to get her to reduce her feeds down so she has less feeds but for longer. Maddi shouldn't really need to feed at night now if she's on three solid meals a day so maybe you could start cutting out one, then both of her night feeds. I'm sure it would be worth the effort to get a full night sleep!

She still BF's 6-8 times a day including 1-2 times a night. Do i just slowly drop a feed? How do I know she is still getting enough calcium and goodness if Im not replacing it with anything (like formula)

Or is it best to wait till after she is One and then within a month drop the feeds out replacing them with normal cows milk? She won't take a bottle so would have to be in a tippy (though not sure she would take that with anything but water in it )

Just slightly confused about how to go about weaning her - what did you guys do? To add to it she is also a bit of a feed herself to sleep baby!

Any advice would be appreciated
