Chickaboo - please let me know how you get on. I live on the Taranaki Coast, I'd love to do a few days a week work myself. Wellington has Complete Nanny Services (CNS) they have nannies and In-Home educators.. they are fantastic.. and treat the educators very well.. support them with equipment and programme allowance money to buy craft and resources etc..

We did this and got my SIL to look after the kids and it worked out really well for eveyone. She had the support from the company and access to resources and we were completely comfortable leaving the kids with her as they were happy.

The agency doesn't usually get involved in the finance side of things - ie dictating what you should charge. They more give you a guideline. I think your friend can sign up with Porse or whoever you want to go with and then you can get the 20 hours free (but would have to be a registered agency).

I have a friend who has offered to hve my 2 youngest when I go back to work - its ideal for the things she is willing to do (come pick them up from me so I don't have to organise them etc...)

But I would like to go through an agnecy as I get 20 hours free and childcare subsidy.

So apart from Porse.. where else is there?

Have you used it for a similar situation?

Also Any home based care givers out there working for these type companies - how do you find it - if you don't mind saying what is the hourly rate you get per child.?
