Mack sleeps right through cos he has always been in there and it doesnt bother us either. you totally get used to it. the good thing about it is that normal household noises like slamming doors and flushing toilets dont wake him either cos they cant be heard over the traffic. lmao. the only problem we have is trying to pull out of our driveway when it is really busy beacuse we are just round a bend so you have to plant your foot and pray but we havent had an accident yet

It has a big backyard and will be fully fenced for our dog, so the kids can safely play there. It has a small driveway, but wouldn't let the kids ride their bikes on it as it's almost right on the road. The driveway is actually on the 'other' road (not the main road), and is a really quiet road, and the streets are nice and quiet to go for walks.

We are planning to go through Thursday morning, so I might just stay in the lounge and listen to the traffic. I doubt it's a busy intersection, maybe a car every 5 mins on average (at a guess).

I think it is something I would just get used to. I'm not overly sensitive to traffic noise (lived in London for 3 years), and I've lived on a very busy main road before in Welly.

It would sound like they were right outside your bedroom window. Especially at night when the cars are quiet and some people were walking home from a party. I just felt a bit vulnerable really. Does it have a big fence? Otherwise the traffic you do get used to. We even had the st johns ambulance just across the road too. My worry would also be little kids getting out on the road. With a long driveway you have more time to get them. It only takes a blink of an eye with a gate open for them to escape. Are you buying or renting. Buying I would go for a long term option and find a quiet street. Renting try it out and if it works then great if not then move on.

Although it is just a regular street a lot of boy racers do tend to use it as a thorough-fare though which definately increases the noise, especially Friday and Saturday nights.
