I think a better options (than breaking into the hospital) may be to dry putting the dry oats in the blender.

OH MY GOSH

i am so gutted, i cant stand rolled oats . The interesting thing is that when i've been in hospital im sure ive had it, so they must be accessing something similar from somewhere.

Yeah they stopped making it in the middle of last winter! At least thats when the stock ran out. Suck suck!! We did find some comparable ground/powdered oats, but it takes a bit of searching in the supermarket.
