nope, its definitely the wireless interfering. We took the filter off the phone line and caller id worked every time.

Oh and we are talking about Telecom here you would think it should just work wouldn't you!

I woulndt think that caller id would be affected by wireless at all. Its a service that is added onto your phone line at the exchange, so nowhere near your house.

If it isnt showing a number then it could be a blocked / withheld number - on our phone it shows as "private number", but maybe on yours it just doesnt show anything.

It's weird, we've been playing around and it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.

My caller ID plays up all the time sometimes works fine and then not at all, I think its related to the wireless internet and the filters, but can't find any common reason why it stops and then starts again.

We have just had caller ID put on our phone and we have wireless internet. All through Telecom (but through DH's work).

We have the filter things on the phone jacks which i think are for the internet??

Anyway, the caller id doesn't work when the filter things are on. When we take the filters off the caller id works but the internet is REALLY slow or doesn't work at all.

Thought i would ask here what we have to do before spending 15 hours on the phone with Telecom!
