- any sentence with unnecessary overuse of F words
- piss
- diddle and fanny I find really annoying for some reason

ME TOO! I work for the EB and the kids and parents use it all the time. drives me insane. and then i find myself making fun of them by saying things like "wow, it literally did that?"

and they pronounce cam-em- bert. and pee- za, instead of pete-za (pizza)

but I hate (and i know a lot of people on hear use this) aunt flow or euphemisms for periods. my friend used to whisper about "my mate" coming to visit and it took me forever to cotton on to what she was talking about. reminds me of my grandmother

My main ones (think most have these have been mentioned so its not just me yay) are
brought instead of bought, this really drives me up the wall
any type of word shortening that involves a 'zz' eg Shazza for Sharon, prezzie for present
Typing 'text speak' in emails... come on its just a few extra letters!

"Where do you stay?" annoys me too. And everyone says it here. They don't "get" where do you LIVE. Grrr.

And haitch/haytch really rubs me up the wrong way. But, again, it's how they teach it here in Singapore. Ick. And all my Australian friends say it too. I think it sounds common

I REALLY hate it how people here start sentences with, "for example" when it's NOT an example!

It also drives me crazy when apostrophes aren't used correctly. It's instead of its, her's, their's, etc.

The former deputy editor at NZWW didn't like "just", so I got very used to writing without using that word!

My hackles are up just from thinking about these... Clearly I need to get a life.

I hate the word fiddle... its just downright wrong!

I also hate the "word" funnest, and I hate that Apple used it in their campaigns for their latest Ipods, Of course Apple probably think they have the right to make up words but I for one can't stand it!!!

I quite often say vagina lol, but mostly Vajayjay!

I use all the hard out homie words... but I use them to take the piss as a bit of a joke with a lot of my friends!

I really dont like the incorrect use of phrases and things like that. I have a friend who I'm constantly correcting because he is forever using phrases and words out of context.

I hate when people say they have the flu, when its just a cold too!!!

Oh see swearing doesn't bother me so much, but I HATE it when I'm peeved off and people will repeat every swear word you say. YES!! I F%&*^KING know I'm swearing, thats because I'm P*%^&ED off!!! Repeating it, DOESN'T HELP!!!!

But I generally don't swear unless I'm annoyed lol... More a phrase but I don't like it when people (dh) say that they have 'the flu' when all they have is a cold.

And I also don't like swear words. Don't like it when someone is talking and every second word is f$%k.

Don't like the word 'Dentist', brings back yucky memories. AnythinK .... it doesn't have a K on the end of it!! And I know people who actually type anythink, what on earth!?

And words like anyFing... I understand some people have a lisp, but really? I know so many people who have worked on this themselves and can now speak properly, or people who half the time do speak normally and only do it sometimes, thats just laziness.

Seen, saw etc gets me too. Although I gotta admit lately I've been doing this myself, and DH has to correct me

I also hate the word Obvious - I don't think anything is obvious and it annoys me when people assume something. - thats a really weird one though I think and nobody else probably has that problem

I'm with Emz, I'm not very tolerant of improper grammar.
Including Their/There/They're and Your/You're.

I also hate the 'C' word and 'Moist'.

It also bugs me when sayings/phrases are wrong, But that's just a weird thing I have - you can't blame someone if they've misheard/misread it somewhere else and it's caught on.

Guttering, as in 'that's so guttering'. It's GUTTING (just like it's gutted, not guttered). Makes me laugh.

I don't really care too much about words like poop etc, but terrible use of grammar annoys me (and DH is terrible!). What words (if any ) do you hate ?

I know so many people hate the word fanny , it doesn't mind me , but my friend turns green when I say it
She also hates the words
moist and penetrate
so of course I often say to her "oh he is going to PENETRATE her MOIST FANNY "
such fun

As for me I hate the words
poo
loo
poop (and I always read it in an american soccor mom voice "aww hunny ,the babbbbeeee just pooped ! " "

plop
piddle
widdle
pee
pooey
pooed
and I think thats it

anyone else have words they don't like ?
