It seemed so strange that she would eat more than a 7 year old... I'll see if I can find it for you.

    Author: weegee
Subject: 32816
Posted: 13 April 2010 at 8:57am

JJ went through a stage like that, a couple of times actually, and it always coincided with a bit of a developmental or growth spurt. There would be days where he just seemed to have hollow legs and ate ate ate all the time. I just let him - I figured he knew what he needed. In fact I believe it's better to allow them to learn to listen to their own bodies rather than telling them when they should and shouldn't be eating - I think part of the 'obesity epidemic' is people not learning to listen to their own body signals.

Anyway with us it'd be like that for a week or two and then we'd have a week or two where by comparison he hardly ate anything. Still is like that and I've learned not to stress about it

I also appreciate at this age its about handling food and enjoying it etc but just for general long term, I'd be interested to know what other Mama's do with their hungry wee babes?
