That's a really good idea HoneybunsMa - a syringe of EBM, often, to keep him hydrated but not fill him up. Or you could try syringe feeding him rather then the bottles. It's time consuming yes, but its better then a bottle. He will scream, and protest - a bottle is easier. He WILL NOT STARVE himself. If you have made the decision to breastfeed, keep pumping. Thanks guys, I gave it a go this morning and he won't even latch on - just screams

Offer boob as much as possible, does he dreamfeed well? Maybe you could try dreamfeeding him and getting him used to that action again. Ditch the bottles for as long as you can. Pump when you can. Maybe try hand expressing before feeding to get the letdown going. It shouldn't be too late FX

Do you have a breast pump? Pump often to help keep your supply up - you can give a bottle of expressed breast milk at night to get a big feed into him.

Offer boob often, just stop the bottles (he will not starve himself, but may have less feeds for the first day or so).

Last week Cooper started refusing breastfeeds and would happily take the bottle and over the weekend I ended up giving in completely and bottlefeeding him.

Now I've started feeling upset about it and don't want to bottle feed. I really wanted to go for at least 6 months and apart from that I'd really like to also save the extra $20 a week on formula for as long as possible and only occassionally bottlefeed.

Anyway - is it too late? Can I start back up again? He doesn't want to BF though so how do I go about it if I can start back up again?
