My letdown has always been painful, and id cringe as well, its settled down a lot now but in the first 3 months, it was ouchies!!

Lol I do press to make the pain go away even in public, not that Ive been going out a neck of a lot yet. Its really sore, and can happen several times during a feed, and at random times of the day too.

Congrats!!! Totally normal and apparently it is often more painful with subsequent bubs. Yep I had it too for a few weeks, then it gradually got better. I can still feel it now but it doesn't hurt. I had it with Jake too. I had that too in the early weeks and it was SO painful!    It has eased up a bit now. I still have a letdown, and it still hurts a wee bit for a few seconds but not compared to what it was at the start.    Jamie is 10 weeks now and it eased up around the 6 week mark.

Completely normal I'm sure you will find it eases up as your supply settles down. DD is nearly 11mths (excl. BF) and I haven't felt a let-down for well over 5mths. just wondering if its normal for the let-down to be painful? I absolutely cringe and sometime I'm almost in tears the let-down hurts so much.
the first few sucks are fine and after about 12 sucks after the let-down it becomes less painful but yeah is this normal?
