I bought my inserts for $5 on TM.

I love my capsule, especially cause I have a pair of Snap'nGo wheels to go with them. Sooo easy!

No locking clip thing - The carseat is 4 years old as that's how old their eldest son is..

Think I might feel a bit happier hiring one, especially with more padding.. My GF said you can just add inserts from Baby City etc but I don't see the point.. Would rather hire a nicer capsule with more padding than buying it. Make sense..?

Have looked at those Cosco seats Nic and they look pretty good - have been in contact with Baby on the Move who have offered to help so prob made up own mind what to do..

Thanks again - appreciate it..
Donna

Or to a plunket person? The first capsule we purchased was a cheaper one without a base, and we took it to our antenatal class teacher to fit it. She couldn't get it sitting securely, so from there we took it back to the store, who also couldn't get it sititng correctly. In the end, we had that one refunded and purchased a new one with a base, which left me feeling much more comfortable.

Does it have a locking clip thingee?

Think we had to put a towel under the hired one to fit it securely with the seatbelt.

If they're installed correctly though, they are usually pretty secure. If you're a bit wary about that one, what about looking at hiring a different capsule from Plunket for 6 months or so? Otherwise maybe get another convertible carseat? My boy is still in his Cosco carseat at 3 1/2, so has had pretty good use out of it...

The car seat is strapped in using the seat belt and an anchor bolt strap so doesn't move at all.

With number 2 on the way, money is tight and so have borrowed a Capsule from friend. No base, no padding, just a straight forward capsule. It doesn't look safe enough to me - not like DD's convertible which is loaded with padding. And the fact that the capsule doesn't have an anchor strap.

Have any other parents found the capsule with no base a safe option (secure) or have you gone on to purchase another convertible..? DD won't be in a booster seat for a little while yet.

Help..!

Edited by DonnaB
