We couldnt afford gogo bags or anything like that.<br />As he got older we stopped using the safe t sleep and now he just has a sheet and his duvet(polar fleece thing), but he kciks them off half thr time anways.<br /><br />Just use what you feel comfortable using<img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> ]]>

We also had the heater going in a room so the temp was around 20C- if she had any more bedding than that she started to overheat. <br /><br />We didn't move her into a sleeping bag until she was around 4-5 months as it was only then she stared to move around in her sleep and then a sleeping bag, until then blankets were fine. ]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=18651">lilfatty</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 25172<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 12 March 2009 at 9:43pm<br /><br />Man it must get cold in Wanganui lol<br /><br />Issy has a light merino blankie at the moment and nothing else (and she usually kicks that off and wiggles so she is int he path of the fan)<br /><br />In winter she sleeps in a gogo bag (normal weight) and nothing else ... on a really cold night we put her merino blankie over the top.<br /><br />Her merino blankie was what we orignally wrapped her in as a newborn .. but its big enough to go across a cot.<br /><br />Number two will be a winter baby .. so as a nb .. he will be swaddled in a merino wrap and have a merino bassinette blankie.<br /><br />Then when he is older he will go into a gogo bag and he will have a merino cot blankie just in case.<br /><br />(oh and they have four gogo bags each -  two standard and two summers .. as we found summer weight good for daytime sleeps in cooler months - its too hot in our house to use them in summer)]]>

I avoid duvets as they're bulky and don't provide a lot of warmth for the size of them.<br /><br />At the moment (it's a cold windy night here) my girl has a summer sleeping bag on, sheets on the bed, 1 cotton blanket tucked in, and a light woollen bassinet size blanket thrown over the top.]]>
