(she suggested it because DH was taking her and she thought he would be more comfortable).

Now we are out West the time of the toddler class is when Issy sleeps so she wont be going, but at least we have a grounding in what type of activities she can do.

We started with Oli when he had just started crawling and I really think it helped develop his spatial awareness and he seemed to enjoy some aspects of it. We started in on class but then the class got too small so we were forced to move to another one, which was a lot bigger - I dont think he enjoyed that so much. My little one loves exploring and doing his own thing, but gets quite grumpy when you try to "make" him do something that he doesnt want to do.

Overall I think it was positive, although we are now going to Tiny Tots Gym a the YMCA, so will see how we get on with that one.

My only negative feedback would be that the lady that runs it can be a little "harsh" and "stern" sometimes. My little man didnt really like her very much, so that made it interesting sometimes!

She went to baby beans before she could move .. (mostly for fun), but we think the cross patterning helped her crawl sooner than she would have.

(She crawled before seven months)

However she walked relatively quickly too (10.5 months) so maybe she just physically develops quickly anyway.

Either way she 's her baby beans.

She had just started walking when I did it and she loved it!! it was a really good way of her getting rid of some excess energy during winter. I didn't bother doing it over summer, as I figure she can run around the park/beach etc and it does get quite expensive. Some of the people I spoke to started doing before their baby started moving and in hindsight they didn't really think it was worth it (definitely didn't help their baby crawl/walk faster).
