Author: scribe
Subject: 23887
Posted: 14 February 2009 at 11:56pm

I'd highly recommend Merino Kids as well, particularly the gowns - great for easy nappy changes.

Mokopuna was ok but I liked the lighter weight of Merino Kids merino, cos it was so easy to get on and off, and so stretchy. Also I found the buttons (rather than domes) on the Mokopuna were really tricky, and after a while they stretched and wouldn't do up.

I also got lots of use out of my Nature Baby (Essentials range) merino as well - I put the bodysuits through the wash and drier heaps of times and it just wore so well, no pilling. So did the heavier weight cardigans, but they did shrink a little (as per washing instructions, but who has time to handwash with a newborn who vomits all the time!)

I have gone a bit cheaper lately, with bodysuits from the JK Kids Snow range, and while that's been ok you do get what you pay for, it doesn't have the same feel or look as the pricier stuff.

But whatever you buy, merino is fantastic - and I don't think it's as expensive as you think, cos it's stretchy so it grows with them, and it wears so well, so lasts for ages.

Edited by anakk

I had the all in ones for Harry and also I got a set of the PJs but got 6 - 12 month ones and he still has heaps of room in them. They are fantastic and work brilliantly under a gogo bag. The merino is really soft and they do some good deals too if you check out their website.
Opps just read the rest of your post I don't think they do white but they have a new brand called Hum which I think do some merino and do a neutral colour, will have a look.

Mokopuna is lovely too but a bit more expensive.

Edited by lottieandharry
