AndyF, thanks for that. I would love to do the 1st date except it was in Sydney on the ferry and at the beach. When my husband proposed he replicated our 1st date to the point where he booked exactly the same table at the restaurant we 1st had dinner at and asked me to marry him standing in the exact same spot on the Manly Ferry. It was so beautiful and romantic. I will check out the link (thanks again)

Your date sounds wonderful James' mum, he sounds like he was a sweetie?

Lizzle your day is kinda what i am looking for, some lovely quality time doing something a little different. I think it is really more just spending some time together. I was thinking of maybe going for a couple massage and then to dinner.

I am not really that big on making such a fuss for a wedding anniversary however last year for our 1st Sam was only a couple of weeks old so it was a huge non event. Just thought it might be nice this year to try to pop a bit of romance back into things.

I think that sometimes gifts can be a bit much, but an "experience" can be better. For birthdays one year L:ewis and I planned a "special day" for each other. I think for his, we got us early and I made him a special breakfast, then we went into Tokyo to a beer garden, then out to tea. It is my 2nd Wedding Anniversary in a few days and I am really struggling to think of a gift for my husband.

I am hoping you ladies have some great ideas, either you have given your hubbie something that had a big impact or have received something that was awesome? I would prefer to not have to spend too much - obviously. However I guess a bit more on the credit card can't hurt

Also some nice ideas of how to celebrate would be great too.

Maybe we can turn this into a bit of a "what was the most romantic thing your husband/partner has done or given you"
