BF doesn't do any safety checks on the capsules before selling them, so it would be worth doing a good check of the straps and making sure the buckle does up properly etc.

We got one from there for $95 but I've seen brand new ones for cheaper than that so just keep our eye out for a bargain really. good brand and cause they only rent them for 18month they have only done 3 babies before they sell them off so pretty good deal and they are a pretty common brand . I have only used the evenflo brand of capsule.

My brother got one from them a year ago for their baby, and we are now using it for ours. It's in very good condition and is really easy to use. It's an Evenflo Discovery one.
I'm sure you'd be able to check it's condition out when you go in to buy one, also check the year it was made. My Plunket nurse said they should only be used a maximum of 8 years. The one we have was a rental for two, so thankfully within the limit!
