Is your child allergic to peanuts/tree nuts? that is main reason behind few people know to react to Ecostore because it used coconut/palm oil.
I am currently trying new washing liquid by Mela power by ecosense BUT my DS2 got unexplained eczema flare up and I just realize now I have switched washing liquid recently
So that might be another one go into bin?....argh!

For eczema, have you tried pure shea butter?
Author: Mum2L
Subject: 22105
Posted: 01 November 2008 at 11:32am

No washing powder is going to be pH neutral, simply due to the fact that they are made of mineral salts which are alkaline in solution.

I have extremely sensitive skin, and the Eco Store washing powder is the only washing powder I do NOT react to at all. I have reacted to all other so-called washing powders for sensitive skin.

If your son reacts to Eco Store washing powder as well, have you tried using soap nuts? I have heard good things about them, and most organic supermarkets sell them. I think there is also a trader on Trademe who sells them as well. Also another good alternative is just using baking soda in the wash.

For my eczema, I alternate between using Trilogy Everything Balm and Living Nature Nourishing Hand & Body Cream. The Trilogy balm is really nourishing, and I use it behind my ears, on my elbows and behind my knees. The Living Nature is great for all over the body. I don't react to any of those, as they are completely natural. However, I would patch test first, as some people may still react to products that are completely plant-derived.

People on this forum have also recommended Lucas Pawpaw ointment for ezcema and dermatitis, and have had great results.

I would recommend seeing a nautropath and/or homeopath, as they will be able to recommend creams and balms to use on ezcema, as each person is different.

My little boy has a red, dry rash around his neck (he rubs himself on his tshirt collars) and on his thighs (where his nappy wraps around them). It looks like eczema. The doctor has given us hydrocortisone cream but I am reluctant to put it on him - especially on his face. I am using Weleda rash cream but it is not very moisturising. Bubs hates the gluggy emulsifying lotion - he rubs it off and then scratches some more. Can you recommend any other natural moisturisers? Also, what is a good washing powder to use? I've just been told that Eco Store is not Ph neutral so lots of people react to it.
