We have a Haba highchair and we are so happy with it as you can adjust absolutely everything. plus it has wheels so you can take it around. It is so well made it will last tears and the good thing is you can use it as a normal chair later. Just found this post and I see you have bought the mocka wooden one. We got a picopico one which is almost identical to the mocka one when my now 2 1/2 year old was about 5 months and it has been absolutely BRILLIANT!!! Because you can adjust the seat and foot rest height easily you can make it fit any child. Was fantastic when Charlotte stopped wanting to be in a high chair at around 14months as we took off the tray and it became her chair at the table! You won't regret it. Oh you can buy a harness for it as well if you want one you just kinda attach it to the sides. Were you able to get one through Mocka?

Bizzy - we got the designer one for Mum and Dads place and it it great too. So styley as well!

Well, I went ahead and bought the wooden Mocka one after discussing it with DH. my babe can sit really well, butt she still slumps down in her chair so a strap or something between the legs is essential.

A is tall, but still couldn't see over the tray on highchairs like the one above.

Features like dishwasher safe removeable trays are a bit of a waste of time when you need to use the thing 3 times a day.

I would totally look into the kind of chair that clips onto the island. And those chairs that strap onto a dining chair are great - the warehouse actually does a good one. I would want straps or at least a crotch bar on a just starting to eat baby as well. But I did like the idea of being able to put that wooden highchair under the table. We have used a plastic highchairs in the past with a removable tray, and when the tray was off we could fit it under a table. (Only just though.) I'd be a little worried about Blake slipping through under the tray as there doesn't appear to be any shoulder straps or support/barrier between his legs.

We have just got back from staying with my parents & Mum borrowed a highchair off someone she knew & it was quite old & the straps had broken. Liam seemed to want to slip down & apparently Mum & Dad nearly lost him while they were babysitting!

This picture shows what I mean about the support "thing" between their legs to stop them falling through. We have this chair & find it really good although the tray height can't be altered which probably would've been useful when Liam was smaller.

Jo we have normal high backed dining chairs with out arms.
We have the 'babies first years' brand portable high chair . You can get them from the baby factory etc. It straps around the back of the dining chair as well as underneath so is nice and secure. It has a removable tray but if we are all eating dinner at the table the seat is height adjustable so we just move it to the height for her to eat at the table.

Edited to add: Stacey I am so glad to hear it wasn't just us that had issues with the tray height. I was just starting to think I had a midget child

That does look pretty good. My only advise would be to find one where your child is sitting up right properly and also make sure the tray isn't too high to be practical.
We ended up selling the one with had for Sam as she could never reach the food on the tray. In all honestly I think even now she would be having issues as she isn't a big kid.
We ended up buying one of the portable chairs that can strap to your dining room chair. It is fantastic. Looks pretty good!

Only thing I would say is that Blake won't be able to use it until he is sitting completely by himself as it has little to no support and/or straps.

I'm starting to look around for a highchair for Blake but I really have no idea what features a 'good' one has apart from being easy to clean. I found this one on TradeMe, what do you think? Does it look like a good one? Space isn't an issue so it doesn't matter if it doesn't fold away. Here's the auction link-
