Definately paint in a very well ventilated area.

Any water-based pain should be fine. If you want a paint that is hardy enough to handle those teething moments, I used a water-based enamel paint which can be found in the Dulux or Resene range ( and in any colour). I think normal paint can be ok for draw etc but cot's and thing's like that I think you can use a different sort of paint. Hi again,

So we've decided to make some of the nursery furniture as DH is a builder. Do you have to use specific paints or will the basics be ok? I'd be using water based acrylics and was just wondering if standard paints can be harmful during those lovely teething episodes.
