If you want a paint that is hardy enough to handle those teething moments, I used a water-based enamel paint which can be found in the Dulux or Resene range ( and in any colour). Its normally used in bathroom areas and is a little glossier than standard water-based paints but it is safe to use on baby furniture including cots etc.]]>

Do you have to use specific paints or will the basics be ok?
