Thanks everyone - I've been having honey drinks (can't find any lemon!)   Its the horrible scratchy sore throat, hopefully it will be better tomorrow.

Oh no **hugs** I had this when i was about 35 weeks pregnant aswell. My midwife said for to just have manuka honey for the sore throat.

I had that last week and made myself hot lemon and honey drinks. Yum! I used a fresh lemon and a teaspoon of honey in each mugful. So much better and nicer than Lemsip - and it worked instantly. Dont know if you can take Lemsip while pregnant. I would ask at the pharmacy what they would recommend for pregnant women. I have a sore thoat as well and since i am still b/f can't really take anything either apart from lozones (which don't do anything for them).

I got told to take propolis (sp?) throat lozenges, not strepsils. You can get them from a pharmacy or supermarket.
