yep cuppatea i have regular migraines and even visual ones with both pregnancies (so far worse ones this time) its also according to my MW related to Morning sickness Ive had it real bad this time and the lack of food (or not being able to eat) has an effect on ones body. Yep in early pregnancy I had so many headaches. I was doing a course at that time and had 2 weeks off cos I had a headache everyday, I woke up with them and went to bed with them, I felt horrible. Then one morning I woke up and felt great, that was at about 16 weeks I think.

But yeah I definitly had wicked headaches early pregnancy!

Lol! Maybe! I dunno if thats whats going on for you, but sound very similar to me. Hope it doenst last as long for you as it did for me.

I forgot,..I aso had blocked ears which was apparently asscoiated to my body not coping with the extra fluid/ blood volume thing. It sucked! Was usally one ear at a time, sometimes both,...was like I had water stuck it in,..somehtimes would stay 'blocked' for days, sometimes mins.

That makes sense, I do have low blood pressure anyway and it drops even more during pregnancy so it could just be that. I had never had headaches or migraines before preg, then got them so frequently and so badly, with asscociated dizziness and blurred vision at times, when preg that I had to leave work when I was 18 weeks.
I was seen by an Ob, and told to rest with feet up, and to leave work or I risked brain damage . I had slightly low BP throughout preg (lower than my normal), but when I got the bad headaches at work my BP was often very low.

I do get migraines now and again, maybe 2-3 times a year and these aren't quite that bad. Hmmmm I did ask if it was a normal pregnancy thing and he didn't seem to think so. Mine only happen when I wake up they don't happen at other times of the day and seem to get better as the day goes on (but that could be the panadol).
Nikki this morning it woke me up at 4am, sorry probably should have specified that they are waking me up not that i'm waking up with them.
After checking me out he didn't seem too worried but just wanted to know if it starts happening everyday or if it affects my vision.

I've been waking up with bad headaches and have beed getting them often throughout the day. I've suffered from migraines for the past 14 years. At the beginning and end of my pregnancy I was getting them regularly. I had acupuncture which seemed to help a lot.

I think what he means is if the headache wakes you up the pain is pretty bad therefore could be serious. If you just happen to wake up and the headache is there then that is not so bad. Most people will sleep through most pain so it is a pretty good indication of how bad the pain is if it will wake you.

I have been getting headaches too and migraines. I had pnly ever had one migraine until the last pregnancy when I got 2 in one week and I have already had 2 with this one. Full on visual stuff and all. freaky.

I've had them up until last week, probably for the last 6-8 weeks, seems its just one of the fun things we go through. Its in the little book they give you to keep track of whats happening, but not till the 2nd trimester.

I had loads of headaches throughout my pregnancy, but my m/w never told me to worry about them and I had a trouble free pregnancy other than giving birth to a big baby at 38 weeks!

I went to the doc today and whilst there I mentioned that I keep waking up with a hangover like headache that is bordering on being a migraine I told him I thought perhaps it was dehydration so have been drinking more but its still happening with yesterday and today being the worse. I still have the headache as panadol takes the edge of but doesn't get rid of it and for some reason after he took my blood pressure it got a lot worse.

Anyway he said they are always concerned when people wake up with headaches (i don't know if he meant in general or in pregnancy) he talked about fluid on the brain and checked my blood pressure, looked at the back of my eyes and checked my vision all of which are perfect. Blood pressure a bit low but that is normal for me.
