We have the Childcare Rover as well, however we didn't take this when we went to Australia, as I find it not great for doing lots of walking. Where the wheels are are where you normally place your feet (I am tall), and I found you have to put your feet more inline to use it. Have since gotten used to this.

We have taken our single mountain buggy bascially around the world, and had no trouble with luggage restrictions. First time was to Canada, and Air NZ gave you free allowance for carseat and pram. Second time was to Brisbane on Pacific Blue and this wasn't a problem either, I think it was automatically classed as 10kg off our limit (even though it weighs slightly more than this).

We went to the airport and picked up the clear plastic bags that they put them in before we travelled and we packed it up before we left home, and we put heavy things in with (gifts etc). Worked out well.

I must admit I quite like the look of those Childcare strollers. We've got one from when Conor was a wee man!! It still works perfectly well. I'll use it again once Cooper is ready for it.

When we were flying to Christchurch on Air New Zealand Domestic a few weeks back we thought we didn't have any extra baggage allowance for babies. We packed super compactly and came in at exactly 40kg for the three of us, including 7 kg worth of products that I was taking down to Christchurch for a client.

When we checked in we were told that Lucy had the same baggage allowance as us. i.e. another 20 kg.

It could be different for other airlines or flying international though.

Neeks, I think it looks fine for taking on a plane. It's more the weight that's impt. I took my Motherschoice stroller on the plane and it looks a similiar size. I'd say its just over a metre long in length when folded up, and really skinny. It goes diagonally in my boot (I drive Holden Astra Hatch). Not sure about the luggage aspect as I've never been on a plane

On special atm too. We've had several strollers that I wasn't happy with, then bought this one about 4 months ago when it was on spesh & kicking myself that I hadn't laid eyes on it sooner. Can't recommend them because I haven't tried them for myself, but steelcraft have a couple of them which looked like they might be okay. They're about 7.2 kg and I seem to recall one was called 'Holiday'.
