Thanks guys. Womens Assessment Unit told me to go in and then told me to go home. They won't do a D&C until at least Monday because they don't have the staff. I really don't want to miscarry naturally (ironic coming from me as I am Miss I like everything natural). Unfortunately I may have no choice. Until then...it's hard knowing my wee bubs is inside of me...dead. Sounds harsh but it is true.

I fully understand the staffing issues but am a bit disappointed as I was led to believe I could have a D&C this weekend so had prepared myself for that.

Wish I knew why this has happened but we can only guess it was a completely random chromosomal problem. The Sonographer said the yolk sack was way too big and they believe that happens when there is a chromosomal problem.

Don't have a midwife yet. Docs said to go to hosp now as at 9 weeks my body will go into labour and hence the leak is the waters breaking and cramps will start.

Have you rung your midwife? Even if you go to the hospital now, they may tell you to come back tomorrow and get a D&C.
I know when I had mine, I had been bleeding for a few days (was at 12w, but bubs had died at 8w5d - so similar to you).
The reason they probably wouldn't be able to do anything now is that it is done as day surgery and you won't be able to eat/drink for a number of hours prior cos of the anathestic.

The jelly from the internal scan is coming out a bit brown so looks like it might be starting. I don't want to miscarry...I want a D&C. Well...I just had my 9 week scan and...the baby has died. There was a heartbeat, now there is not. I can tell that my body does not yet know this (I'm very sensitive to hormonal change + still feel so sick) so I am opting for a D&C. Not sure when but hope it is soon.
