seems i was in same boat as you jodie just took longer to come out in this dads personality then it did with the boys dad...i know i'll be fine and do it with no probs im strong or a toughin' as my nana would say..

hey, i seperated from my older 2 boys father 4 years ago too, then got pregnant to a man who was abbusive sp?, he wanted me to have an abortion which i wouldn't and kept the baby, father had little to do with me, anything he did was more in hope of getting me back with him, than interest in pregnancy or baby, which i wouldn't even consider.
Now with a new man been with him since last one was only few months old. and hes great with all my boys and now expecting a little girl.
Everything seems to work its self out in the end.

But i loved being pregnant and those few months on my own with my last baby. For once in my life i was in control.

I'm not doing it alone this time, but I was a single mum to Maya from when she was three months old till she was nearly 2. And if I'm totally honest I was on my own even before that, her father and I were living together but barely even speaking and he had no involvement in the pregnancy or birth at all.

yea im lucky in that respect quin starts school at end of may so i will get time with the bub..

no there no chance he ruined it big time, he knows it too after more than one chance..

not through lack of him trying though but im just not interested in him and his life anymore, told mum yesterday i think i might have to change my cell number if he doesnt stop hassling me soon..

I was a single mum with my oldest son Conor. I fell pregnant with him when I was 22, and his "father" basically told me the day I told I was pregnant that he didn't want a girlfriend. So I made the decision to have him and be a single mum. It was really tough and I was lucky that I had the support of my parents, sister and all of the extended family. Which is really important.

I see that your oldest is at school and you have one that must be starting school soon? That in my opinion will make things a little easier in the fact that you will be able to concentrate on baby while they are at school.

Just take as much support as your friends and family are willing to give you. Make time for yourself and take advantage of all the resources out there to help single parents.

What about the father? Is there no chance of you sorting out the problems or has it gone past that?

good morning ladies...

is anyone else doing this alone as a single mum?
i seperated from my boys dad 4 years ago and met "the man of my dreams" not quite 2 years ago got pregnant last year but lost that one and then this year things did a total u-turn and i left him last month then to find out a week later im carrying again..im really happy about bub but just know it gonna be hard now bringing up 3 kids alone
