Since you've already lost some weight I'd put off the next clomid cycle and try to lose some more, since the specialist probably won't do anything until you've lost more anyway, and who knows, if you've lost more weight before your next clomid cycle, you might not need the specialist .
Good luck, whatever you decide - I could do with losing 5-10kg, but i just can't seem to shift it. Re-joined the gym yesterday though - got to keep battling away!

My sister has pcos and put on a lot of weight in a really short time and found it impossible to shift it. The dr gave her something (can't remember what sorry) and it really helped her to lose the weight so maybe thats what you will need?

Sorry I can't be any more help

I think on the Fertility Associates website they list a qualifying BMI for IVF, so perhaps aim for that? I know that BMI affects how many 'points' you can accumulate for IVF, and the lower the BMI, the better. You need a certain number of points to qualify so the more, the better (it also jumps you up the waiting list).

All the best!

The specialist will see that you are trying to lose the weight and maybe able to help (especially if its a medical condition such as PCOS). Also you may have to wait ages for another appt, so i would just get the ball rolling.

I would take the clomid and see if anything happens. Even though they only recommend clomid for 6months generally this can be prolonged to a year.

Good luck with your decision.
