Like you all say only with cases of allergies should you avoid it and other nut products.

I havent been as 'good' this time around, having kebabs and even a piece of KFC chicken, then i spent the next day wondering if i was feeling ill cause of what i ate....
I ate all the soft cheeses last time but only eat the ones i have bought, and only eating ham steaming hot...the eggs dont bother me to be honest either, i just dont eat free range when preggers...i figure the egg gets so hot it might as well be steaming??

Loving the soft cheeses and had some ham (heated up, but not steaming hot), but still avoiding things like runny eggs and pre-prepared salads etc.
I've avoided peanut butter as my doctor said something about it causing asthma, but I'm so thinking of it now, I've been totally craving it!

I'm loving peanut butter.

Hmmm ... I had bacon the other day (smoked) and a couple of soft-boiled eggs early on in the pregnancy but for most of those restricted items I think it's best to avoid them but you don't need to beat yourself over the head if you do have something like that once or twice. Back in the day people were eating all kinds of things without knowing the effects and plenty of babies turned out fine. In saying that, it is always better to be safe than sorry.

The only thing I would definitely say is avoid alcohol, tobacco, drugs and medicines (except those permitted ones) at all costs.

So I wont eat runny eggs unless I'm really craving them on hot buttered vogels or something, I figure its got lessen the chances of getting a bad lot.

Pasturised soft cheese is okay which is nice, I've finally found a french one in our local Tesco that actually states its pasturised, the only one out of shelves and shelves of the bl00dy stuff!!!!

There are still some people that say to avoid peanuts if you have a history of allergies in the family, since DH is super allergic to loads of stuff I'm avoiding them myself but I'm not a huge fan anyway so not a biggie so far.
