Sally - yep it is in NP, DP would never live anywhere else LOL it's funny, I've done thousands of conveyancing transactions and laughed (not in a mean way, but because it's cute to see them so excited and jittery) at first home buyers....I will never do that again!! They say that buying a house is one of the most stressful times in your life, and so far I would agree. It's lovely. I like those old cottages, the layouts are so interesting and the way they used to build them. And with bugger all technology too.

The plans you have to make some changes sound really good. I like the idea of the nursery off that main bedroom.

And not so much what we want/need to buy - there isn't much we need!! We want to make a couple of changes though - put a french door through from the master bedroom to the conservatory, so basically it's an office or nursery attached to the master bedroom (there'll be 2 entrances), and at some stage in the long long term future change the kitchen/bathroom/laundry around, so the kitchen/dining is more open (dining is pretty tiny), there's a separate toilet and the laundry won't be bigger than the bathroom, like it is now.

Fantastically excited and nervous LOL It's a gorgeous little 2 bedroom plus conservatory, on a small section (450m2), with a single garage. Originally 1930s, but has been upgraded over time, with aluminium windows and very well maintained. Even has the original refurbished full size coal range in the dining room!!! Not working of course, just for decor reasons, but it's gorgeous. If you want to have a look, PM me and I'll give you a link to the photos hehe

Kitchens are so important IMO. I fell in love with the size of the kitchen when we came and viewed this place but I can't wait to get my new kitchen in there. Lots of other things to do first though. Slowly but surely we will get there. I really love going out and picking things for the house though, like paint, doors, kitchens and so on.

Yeah, that's what we may have to do. DP races speedway, so he wants a garage big enough to fit both our cars, plus have a workshop area for when he is working on his midget as well as room to actually fit the midget - meaning one BIG garage, so any property we buy has to have the potential to extend the garage for this very reason. We could never afford to buy a house that has a garage big enough, I'm afraid, if one even came on the market (his parents house is the only one I've seen).

I prefer to pay attention to the house and see how expensive it would be to make it look like what I want hehehe - especially the kitchen!!!

My DH was the same - it was the size of our garage that sold it for him. And it didn't take long before he had filled with all his treasures. I am assured that it is ALL stuff that he needs

Would be more exciting if there were a lot of houses in our price range I think... we're going to look at a couple of houses tonight/tomorrow which will be interesting. To him, the most important part is the garage size, not so for me!!!

And yes I agree it's tiring. It's so tiring though don't you think actually waiting for something to do? I get home at the end of the day and I'm buggered from doing absolutely nothing. I have had long lunches all week, even popped home the other day and loaded the dishwasher and hung some washing out and I'm still bored when I get back to work.

How is the house hunting going? At least that should keep you a little busy. Ahhh wouldn't that be so lucky. Our manager is away today (3rd Friday in a row, plus last Monday as well) which means we're sitting here doing pretty much nothing again (he has to sign things off before we can process it). I hate being so bored. These games are actually loaded through excel so I don't have to use the net or anything to play them. Except for the helicopter flying one.

I have a job and I'm bored about 80% of the time too. And my job is always like that. I'm busy for about an hour a day. I spend my day playing games, sonic the hedgehog, tetris, golf, pacmac and a helicopter flying one. And it between that I go online, email people. Mum comes online at 3pm so I spend my last hour of work on gmail chat talking to her. Today it was so quiet I left so I'm actually at home already with a glass of wine chatting online to mum.

Can't wait until I go part time. well i used to work till 20 weeks..so i chilled out and LOVED it for about 6 weeks..and now I'm just bored bored bored..i have to limit time on here or i just sit here all day:)

I am not really hungry much but i stop to go eat and do a little something around the house.. (cant do much in one go at the mo) then sometimes come back on here(and the American website I'm on) ...i used to go see friends a lot....but in general I get bored too:)esp as I'm supposed to be 'resting' for my BP..but it seems to be working BP back to normal!

lol.. I am so bored.. What are you ladies who dont work and dont have other kids get up to during the day? I cant do housework and stuff, so I just end up sitting here.
