My girls always had heaps of fluid around them which made for a huuuuge mess when my waters were broken! But one of the mums at MBC had reduced fluid around one of her bubs, she was admitted to hospital at about 31 weeks and bubs were born at 35 weeks by c-sect as the other bub had increased fluid and a few health issues.
Good to hear you are taking it easy, hang in there, babies born at 30 weeks have a 95% prognosis of no long term health problems related to prematurity, and you are really close to that. PLus being under such frequent monitoring is great as it means if they do have to induce you will have time for steroid shots etc. to develop bubs' lungs. Twins tend to have more mature lungs than singletons even as premies, something to do with the stressful environment in utero causing them to develop faster.

LOL Tishy, you sound really relaxed so that can only be a good thing Great that you've finished work now too. Good luck for the next while, even just getting to a few more weeks will make a big difference.

Our worst case scenario was that I'd be in hospital after my growth scan yesterday. Thankfully that didn't materialise.
Here's hoping it doesn't happen on Monday either. I refuse to prepare my hospital bag until after Xmas day.


Rest is the only thing I've been told so do so I finished up work yesterday rather than wait until end of Jan.


I think I'll be happy once I make the new year. So not ready to have the twins arrive before Xmas sales

My sis had twins 2 years ago, and one of them had very little fluid. She was leaking constantly tho, and was in hospital on bedrest from about 18 weeks. They were told the little one had very little fluid and wasnt doing very well, but in the interests of the other bigger baby they were trying to keep her in one piece for as long as possible. She ended up going into labour at 30 weeks and after a few months in NICU they were home, and they are doing fine now. You wouldnt even know they were so early.

Hers was kind of worst case scenario (hope I didnt scare you) but all turned out fine I think they will try and keep you intact for as long as possible, sounds like things are going really well tho. And its great that they have you on weekly appointments to keep a good eye on you. I'm expecting fraternal twins. One of the babies is measuring smaller but growing at a healthy rate. (1300g and 1100g) The fluid in her sac is lower than desired. 2 weeks ago it was at 2.7cm and yesterday it was a 2.5cm. The other sac has fluid of 4cm. I've been told the 'normal' range is from 3cm - 8cm.

Blood flow to both babies is great and I've been having regular CTGs which have been showing good activity in both babies also.

I'm on weekly appointments for scans and CTGs now to keep an eye on it so I know there's no immediate risk. However it's currently a waiting game to see when babies will come

Has anyone else had reduced fluid while pregnant? Did you get admitted for bed rest or get induced straight away? Suppose that depends on the gestation.
