And remember chick that it is better to get it done than face up to a possible infection etc. Hard I know when you would rather not do anything that could *possibly* have side effects, but they wouldn't do it unless they thought it was safe.

I had a root canal and secondary filling done during my pregnancy with Xavier... timing was end of the 2nd/start of the 3rd trimemsters. Stay away from google! Most things are only an issue in the first trimester when baby is developing. Not such an issue in third trimester when they are just growing. went to the dentist again..and have fractured the tooth again for the third time in 5 weeks..so in the end she gave me a normal filling..she said they are safe but that most people dont want them in during pregnancy....she put it in ..and i could taste the glue and stuff and she said its just like a tiny bit of mercury that gets released by chewing on my other teeth with fillings... i trusted her but the research i have done today suggest mostly that its not a good idea to get done during pregnancy..though i did find two studies that proved it was fine but there are lots of precautionary things (ie not proved ) that say dont... she said it would be better than fracturing the filling every two weeks having the injections of leaving it to get infected:(
