Yeah I think you should she might be more keen to see you to check it out. You will have to show here though which is always pleasant and if she send you to the hospital they can do a swab to test if its the waters.

Lisha sorry to be gross but I leaked waters before they burst completely and they have a quite distinctive smell, it smells like semen. Sometimes you can get a small nick in the sac and leak, it isn't dangerous as the waters are continuously being made. On the upside I went into labour 12 hours after mine started leaking. However if you have been leaking they like to give you IV antibiotics at the birth cos there is increased risk of infection, so probably best to mention to your midwife if she manages to squeeze you in.

I rang my MW as I am meant to have an appointment with her today, and she has not appointment for me as she hasn't sorted out her diary as yet, this was yesterday, slack bum, also she mentioned, "has the clinic rung you"?? I was thinking, who? but she was meaning Chch Womans regarding an induction appointment, I thought that she was meant to be a bit more on-to-it, is this slack or I suppose she is just busy, and for my appointment with her, she will just slot me in somewhere!!?!

You poor thing I can so relate! I was 5 days late with Charlotte but was told through the last 4-5 weeks with Kate that I was going to go early because she was so low down (engaged by 36 weeks). I was all prepared to go early but went 8 days over- it was horrible. I spent the whole time either furious or in tear, not a great mind set to be in!

In France you aren't considered term until 41 weeks and they let you get to 43 weeks before inducing, so just think about all those poor french ladies, man they must get so angry!!!

That's nice that you get a night out with hubby before bubs arrives, might help take your mind off the waiting game.

Hahaha yes still here! I rang my MW this morning, all stressed out and emotional thinking she would come and do another S&S but as it didn't work the first time, she is not coming to do another one. There is nothing to do except wait, as bubs isn't ready to come out into the big wide world as yet. Oh well, sick of wanting it to come out, so going to carry on until something really happens!

nzpiper.. yeah i was a dream baby (slept through from 3 weeks old) and fed well etc..so I'm hoping but realistically have to sort of expect the worst and go from there.. :) I still would rather a bigger gap just to let body recuperate and stuff.. but we will see:)

there are lots of things you can do in pregnancy to get a low birth weight baby Smoke, drink, dont eat properly, stress etc. Its acheivable...we dont have to tolerate these big ones
