They should understand, and really, the things people get most worked up about before the wedding often end up being the least important things to them on the day. We also had a no show at our wedding and a couple who decided to leave halfway through to go to the pub down the road and watch the rugby, then come back afterwards for the free drinks. At the time we didn't give a hoot, they missed the meal, their loss. At least you have a good reason!

The question is... do I go?? and to the reception? His mate has asked me if I am going to go to the reception, but who can say at this stage, as he can "replace" me with someone else, they are all money worry people, I feel stressed out, hope that DH can make the wedding, does it really matter if I don't go??!
