We only stayed overnight with DH's family. Andrew was great all night long - even with all the drunkn noise we were making. There were toilets there but no showers - not that we needed them.</P>]]>

There were toilets there and we only stayed overnight. We cuddled the girls to sleep and all shared a lilo - was a bit nervewracking cause every move and you think you'll wake the kids but they were actually better sleepers than us! <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0"><br /><br />As for bathing, if you're on holiday go ahead and skip a couple. And if you'll be tenting for a while, then put them in the shower with ya.]]>

A crying baby doesn't go down too well in a popular camp ground. Sorry. <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif" border="0"> <br /><br />Some of the DOC ones are fabulous for kids, most a pretty basic with only running water and toilets but they are a load of fun.]]>

It'll be a blast I reckon. My family have been going camping on the same piece of land for nearly 45 years, no water or toilets (we bring and empty our own - it's not pretty!) and everyone has always brought their kids. My cousin was 3 weeks old when she first went camping. I plan on taking Jack if he's born before Xmas (m/w said at 10 days old if he's fine, camping is a great idea). I guess the only considerations would be: can you fit everything you need into your car and possibly trailer? <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0"> And keeping the kids warm at night in a tent. I think it's an awesome tradition for a family to do every year.]]>
