Rhyley is 3 on saturday - we are just doing a bbq with friends and family - just low key but of cause the cake and lollies - didn't even think of getting balloons LOL

bumping up! finally found the november thread lol
I can't believe our babys are 3 this month!!!
where has the time gone

Aidan is 3 next week and I still havent organised anything :/ I tried to but hubby said he 'depending on if he can reach his monthly target is weither he can come to it or not' grrr so needless to say they are all doing crappy so no party
will just do a dinner for him I think with some party food and a cake, balloons etc so he still feels special

It means he will still produce sperm but only in the right side and it will be obviously only half the amount as if he were 'normal' so he will still be able to have children but it may take longer then normal

We are still alive here, We all just got back from our holiday to Auckland which was nice. A bit stressful but nice all the same

However the day before we flew out Aidan had an appointment with the surgeon and its not good news, he is to have more surgery
this time it is for his testicles, the surgeon believe it is from the hernia surgery he had but basically his left testicle is about 1/4 the size of his right, So the surgeon will operate - test it to see if it will have any use, he said one thing he knows already is he will never produce sperm from it but maybe testosterone. so he will probably (he is 99% sure he will) just remove the left one and while down there he will stitch the right one down so in the future it will not twist (which is what causes infertility)

well its been a lil while - hoz our lil (or not so lil) November bubs?

rhyley for the first time - told me when he was in the bath he needed toilet - so put him on and what happened - He did a wee - I was so excited, he had a cheesy smirk on his face as he knew he had done good and of cause his mum made an idiot of herself juming around clapping making a big fuss - lets hope its a start of many. Josh was TT by 2 and half so lets see if Rhylz follows suit (although not 2 and ahlf and i shan't hold my breathe for now)

I have no idea if he is. I think at the moment he is just copying and wanting to do the same as we do. I have my fingers crossed he will just get a grasp of it himself esp since he is growing out of the largest nappies  and I refuse to buy pullups esp when they are changed at DC 2hrly.

What has everyone got planned for the weekend??

That is awesome about tt Ann. and lol at the christmas tree fetish. I forgot to post a reply to your facebook post. Funnily enough because Alize helped put the tree up and then decorate it, he hasnt wanted to touch it at all, althou now I have posted this I may well enter the lounge one day to find it on top of him like last year lol

TT in our house isnt really happening yet. We were at babycity last weekend and Alize saw  a toilet seat for toddlers, the nice soft one with rubber ducks on it and started saying "Tyrell's toilet" I said no Tyrells one is at his place then he says "Fou's one" I said do you want it and he said yes so we brought it and it is now hanging on the wal in the toilet (came with free hanger..score) and everyday when I go or the girls go to the toilet he then has to have a turn. we have to go thru the whole senairo of him sitting there for at least 10mins, then he wipes himself, hangs the seat up, flushes the toilet then washes his hand..Grrr drives me insane because we have to supervise the ritual but i have to just go with it as I guess this is him just getting use to the toilet. He has never done anything on the toilet for me lol, but does for nana. He also talks about "mummy good girl done wees" whenever i am on the toilet so I am forever getting praised for my efforts ROFLMAO!!

I have no idea about TT. My girls were both in knickers by 2 and that was their choice, no prompt from me at all, infact i Had even stocked up on pullups for Sades for tt but she just took her napy off one and decided she was a big girl like mum and Lesi and that was that, no more nappies, none at night and no wet pants. Hmmm have no idea about Alize, I know he feels it coming like a second before it does becos when he is in the bath he will look down then watch it. He has also just figured he can more his penis around while weeing and get it everywhere...ratbag, lucky only in the bath!! Girls of course are mortified!

Yay for having the next 2 thrus and fri off!! Otherwise work as usual..

Well i think Rhyley is getting ready for toilet training. he was outside playing and stopped and grabbed himself and said wee.. then inside he looked at me and you could tell he was about to do a poo. He was not interested though on going on the potty nor the toilet so i just left it till he is - I tried bribeing him with a sticker if he did but nope so not going to put him off will wait till hes keen to go on.

Hoz everyone elses 2 year olds.. In my defence I also had a lil man spewing power chucks all over the place last night - 3 changes of clothes, 2 bath, 2 bed changes, 3 couch cushion cover changes and 3 changes for me of clothing later - we had an end... i slept in his bed with him and he was dry reaching at 3am till 4am and then hes been fine since - me I feel a lil yuck and tired!! Awww Trish, its surgery and every surgery is major due to having to be put under general anestetic. So of course you are allow to be anxious about it. Best of luck for his surgery.

Alize is the best sleeper during the day. His daycare tried to drop pne of his sleeps b'cos he is having 2 at daycare but he was beside himself so they had to add in the morning one lol. He is the only one his age having the morning sleep then he goes down again around 2pm till 4-4.30pm. When we are home I just give him the one from about 11.30-12 till 2.30-3pm. all depends on what we are up to.

Muggy weather here, how is everyone elses??

Sorry to hear about your sil trying aswell Ann Aidans Surgery is for Grommets in and his tonsils and adonides out - not that 'major' as everyone keeps ppointing out to me! but still major enough! and its also 2years to the day of his first surgery so am kinda scared!


Sounds like a great day planned Kels wow 3hours during the day and 12 hours at night!!!

kels - I don; t mind the cousins being round the same age - its really nice but yeah the MIL comparing suxs big time - funny a friend of mine commented on how MIL was more interested and taking more photos of Rhylz cousin than him on Rhylz birthday - I have to learn to live with it as its always going to be like that...

Kels what you have planned sounds lovely. And your so lucky with alize sleeping during the day. Awww Ann that sucks with the SIL ttc around the same time. I feel for you hun with the comparing thing. JUst is awful!!

Testing times Ann, ALize would do the exact same thing. Little terriors!!!

Trish we have nothing planned either. I tried to get the day off but I have to work in the moring so gutted about that. ONce I finish at 11 I have planned, swimming and the park. feeding the ducks, cafe for lunch somewhere then a sleep. NOt in  that order. deps when he needs a sleep etc. He still needs at least 3 hours during the day and still sleeps the 12 at night. We also have a family dinner too with my mum and a cake.....DEFINITELY NOT PAVALOVA..... but it is bittersweet as LEsieli is on camp so doesnt feel right having a family dinner with someone away.

Today rhylz threw a car at me - so i ignored it and walked away he went and picked it up and followed me and threw it again - I ignored him so he picked it up again and i said if he threw he would go to the naughty corner - and yup you guessed it he threw it at me again.... so testing!

Found out that SIL is trying for a baby too - her lil man and RHylz are only 4 months apart so guess we will be having babies together again. Aidan is a little terror and its worse when he sees Bailey misbehaving too! they can both be quite nasty - hitting, biting, scratching, punching - they both have turns at hitting each other with closed fists! or cars or books what ever is handy!
in our house hold I'm averaging about 4 hours per night too on a good night!- its horrible
Hubby's just had the week off work and I was still the one up in the night to the boys as well as house work, cooking dinner, washing, making sure the boys are fed!

Glad the birthday went well.

Sleep in... I dont know what they are lol. We are leaving in the morning at 8am for marching. Who knows how much sleep or lack of it im going to get. I pretty much average 4 hours per night.

mind and I am sure you feel the same kels - they drive us mad but love them to bits and can;t imagine life without them.

Friends here have just lost their 18 month old (I know them but not close friends) she had eplispsi and they think she died of that... scary cause a very close friend of mine has a child with servier eplispsi (west syndrome) and would hate that to happen. SNAP Ann, Alize is the only one of my kids I cant take out unless I want everyone looking, he screams, hits me, runs away and is just a brat and he is the only one who hasnt had a good smack on the bum. He has had the odd smack but with the media and the anti smacking campaign I just dont. I have tried the positive parenting blah blah but it speacks for itself. I could my others anywhere and they were always well behaviour and not because they were scared but because they knew I would paddle their bottoms in the middle of the shop/mall etc.

Alize isnt 2 yet and he has been moody for the last few months. I swear, its like he has his period everyday lol

kels its like he hit 2year old and was a lil s#it yesterday very testing and yes 'moody' He was refusing his afternoon sleep and well I made him have one (which I fell asleep with him in the end LOL) I think he is soon going to stop having a day sleep

Actually we didn;t have any birthday cake today LOL - we are having a party tomorrow so will have one then so post pics after that.

He wasn't (I said wasn't) impressed opening presents - he actually was a typical moody two year old.. but loved his swing and slide set

We had plunket today - he is 88.6cm and 12.5cm so hes tall and skinny (just like his dad) She was overly impressed with his motorskills and co ordination saying he is very co ordinated... I could of told her that though LOL - dh thinks hes the next David Beckham LOL...

Took him to McDonalds for lunch just him and I - was nice really he was such a good boy eatign all his lunch then went and played.

DH is now working at the Correspondance School (and loving it! He's much less stressed)... Kiya's enjoying school... Josiah's having a great time at kindy... Took me awhile to find this thread LOL. Thought I'd better kick my butt into gear and see how everyones Nov bubs are doing now that they're turning 2.

Happy belated 2nd birthday Thomas. Did you give your daughter permission to grow up so fast Suzi?

Poor little Rhyley, its not nice when they're sick, I hope hes feeling a bit better now.

Steph has all her teeth now, got her last molars last month, but talk about putting my head in a lions mouth trying to check if they were coming up

Steph's still in her cot, but I have moved the single bed into her room so she can get used to it. TT wise she's been dry at night for the last week. Thomas is still in a sleep sack which stops him climbing out of his cot. Dont think I can get away with that when it gets hot again so summer time he will probably be into a bed!   

Hows the potty training going? Thomas is great with wee's during the day when he's got undies on .. but thats about it ... see what happens when we go away camping ...

we had to move Rhylz he climbs out of the cot so had to take the side off for safety reasons. he is good in his bed though (its his cot down to a bed)

Soooooooo we have the lovely 2's coming up ... hehe

Thomas has one molar cut .. and one more that is almost through .. both on the one side ... teething has been horrid for him poor boy!

And yep Kels, T is still in his cot too ... and Im leaving it for as long as I possibley can too LOL although I have the feeling that he will be in a bed when we get back from camping this summer ... cause ... he might be moving into a bigger room ... cause ... my big girl is making noises about going flatting (sob sob) ..... /sigh .... ... anyways .. thats a whole different thread LOL

Anyways ... I'm loving my almost 2 year old ... he is chattering away ... and is too damn cute for his own good!!

Yay for Rhylz cutting his molars. I hasve no idea if alize has his so am going to look tonight.

Alize is still in his cot and I plan on leaving it that way for a little while longer until I decided where I am going to put his bed.

Talking is going fantastic here. Alize is up to 4 and 5 word sentences and to me a miracle as he hasnt really talked a lot as a toddler until about 3 weeks ago. Now I cant shut him up lol. It sounds so cute tho.

welll almost no more teething for us - Rhylz last 2 molars have broken (just) thru - may explain the red rash under his mouth and snotty nose which seemed to have ran (with nothing else) for months leaving a red mark under his nose.....also hes been waking a bit the past couple of nights (well once or twice a night) which makes sense again...

So yay - its the beginning of the end - one part of him growing up i can handle

Just took side off Rhyleys cot to day - well it was already off just turned against the wall as he wasn't having a bar of it a month ago. But tooday for his afternoon sleep (which he didn't end up having) there was a lil pitter patter of feet down the hall and a knock at the door - yup someone finally figured he could climb ALL the way out. so over to the neighbours to borrow her bed guard (Rhylz is a all over the bed type kid so would of fell out) and he wasn't too keen on it when i put him to bed to night but hes asleep now in his bed .. my baby growing up

mind we have now got a cold and temp - very rosey red face and high temp - so given pamol and sent to bed... its funny a parent of one of the kids who go to the same carer asked if he had a snooty nose aswe;and I said NOPe -- well should of known he was going to get it!!! Well tried the bed thing - he was rather excited about it - till it came to bed time this afternnon and he would not settle - till I turned the cot around so the open end was against the wall a few stern words and he went to sleep for 3 hours.... another time...

we have got a bed (portable sorta thing but still like a normal bed) that I am going to set up in Rhyley room and going to try with day sleeps. His cot goes into a bed so when I think we/him are ready i shall take the sides down. We are also 'starting' very slowly the toilet training as he is telling me when he is having a poo and said wees an stopped a few times. argghhhhh - Rhyley keeps trying to climb out of the cot - he gets stuck on top an yells - ow ow guck guck (cause hes got a dummy in stuck comes out guck). Been following Emma's taking the sides off the cot thread as i think we are going to be there very soon - my worry is with this rain he has been waking up and standing in his cot and without the sides would he walk out his room - i have a door gate but we close his door (but not fully) so perhaps I close his door fully or use the gate.... ummm either way I think its time for a bed Baby is really growing up -

A day off today for me. I am again sick with chesty problems. Unsure what is causing me to keep getting chesty things. Its not that long ago I got over pneumonia

kels work been ok - I have just been doing my part time hours the last couple of weeks so its been so good. Next week the same then back to extra hours.. which probably will be welcomed for the money since i went shopping last night and spent some money and we brought a cool stereo cabinet off trademe - love it such a bargain got all our cds in it, and dvds plus the stereo all locked up out of Rhyleys hands.
