Amber I'd say his rash would be from the Sunlight soap and from the cream holding the soap in the nappy

Scrubbing the nappy will reduce the life of the fleece. I'd say treat the nappies to get rid of the build up (I've put some info below for you)and leave the stains for now whilst his rash clears up and then treat them in the summer to a bit of UV.

BTW - Fleece liners will also get coated by the Eco Store balm just like the nappy. I'm gutted they changed the formula and have had quite a few customers complain of the same problem you are getting!

To get rid of the build up on the fleece, rub the material together with washing up liquid until they are nice and frothy then put them through a couple of hot wash cycles (without any powder), that should cut through the zinc oil. To check, hold the nappy up to the light, you'll be able to see the oil residue if it's still there.

I have to buy some more nappies to be able to dry under sunlight because i only have 9 so it needs to be a fast rotation (therefor the drier). I use amolin for Josh's butt (have had to use it twice since he was born) and it is great and haven't had any issue with the MCN's. The Honey Child website give it a 5 (I think or 4) so i'm thinking it is safe to use.

Is there a way of breaking the cycle of nappy rash? maybe get a cream from the doc and use that (with dare I say sposies if he won't use a liner with MCNs) until the rash has gone then you might not need to use the cream at every change? oh bugger!! i just cant win!! all the other creams are giving my nappies stains!! so i scrub them with sunlight soap which appears to be giving Astin an irritated booty which leads back to needing the bum cream!!! I bought some of this the other day as i read it was the best stuff to use with MCNs. I have to use a cream every change as Astin has a very sensitive rashy bum! so i thought this would be best BUT! i have just gotten my nappies out of the machine to hang them out and they had a sticky, oily stain on them where the cream had rubbed off!! so i had to scrub them with sunlight soap to get the stains off!!

Has anyone else had this problem???
