We have the sangenic one and have never bothered using it. I had a sangenic and loved it. I have a different brand one here (its upstairs and I can't be bothered going up there to check!) but its just as good. Its great because it means I can pop them in there and only have to empty it once a week- no smells. The one I have here uses biodegradable plasic refills- I figure I would have to change our rubbish bin more so would use more rubbish bag liners if I was putting them in there, plus more scented plastic bags to put them in first so when it comes to waste its 6 of one...

Some people love them so they're worth it for them, and others think they're a waste of money. We use a regular lidded nappy bucket - not smells wafting, but I empty it every few days and there can be the occasional 'who farted?' just as I slam the lid back on. Once baby is older and their #2's are smelling more like #2's, you flush them down the loo anyway, so it's not like you're going to have a poop sitting in your house for days until the bin is changed.

The problem I have with them is that it's even more rubbish going to landfill. Do you really need to individually wrap each nappy in a plastic bag??? I think they're a waste of money. I used to throw wet nappies in the kitchen bin (big pedal bin) and then dirty ones straight into the outside bin.

If you flush the poo in the toilet first, they aren't so stinky

I am the same as Deb, scented nappy bags and pedal bin. Hi Kabe, we bought the sangenic one. DH has "issues" with poopie smells so this seemed like a good option, and will hopefully give him no excuse for not changing nappies!! We looked at all of them, and the Sangenic seemed the best as it wraps each nappy indivdually.

I've got one very similar to the Diaper Dekor and found it really handy when we were in disposables full time. We still use it now for Kaleb's nappy liners, tissues and occasional wipes/disposables. We have only just opened up our second refill for it so hasn't been too expensive. I have friends who found the sangenic ones expensive so used ordinary plastic bags in them.
