Glad to know it isn't just me - must look into thie SPD thing... <br /><br />Not so bad when I don't move, but quite sharp pains when I move wrong (rolling over in bed, splitting legs etc).]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=18565">CaptainKim</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 10090<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 29 August 2007 at 1:07pm<br /><br /><P align=left>When I finally got to see my midwife, my pain had actually improved quite a bit so we're just assuming it's normal pelvic pain from the pressure of the baby, ligaments stretching, etc.&nbsp; Still hurts a bit at night but I'm sleeping with a pillow between my legs and under my belly, and that helps a bit.&nbsp; Plus I'm doing a bit of swimming and I think that is helping it quite a lot too.&nbsp; It definitely seems to be getting better rather than worse for me so I'm hoping it isn't SPD!</P>]]>

Hmm, I'll mention it to my osteo tomorrow.]]>

I tell you, this belt is a life saver.. it just holds everything together and stops the pain.]]>

I had it during my pregnancy with Maya, towards the end it was so bad I could barely walk. Yet with the gremlins I did have it but to a far lesser degree even tho their combined weight was much heavier than Maya.]]>

I have trigger points on my piriformis muscle (butt check) which hurt like h*ll.<br /><br />She taped me from one side to the other and gave me exercises.  I didn't use a belt..and I find that the pillow aggravates it more and makes turning even more difficult. <br /><br />I find a bath helps with the pain too. (not too hot though).]]>

Like almost in your bum? If so I've got that, and have had it since early on in the pregnancy (like 6 weeks or something). It was really painful rolling over in bed, sneezing, coughing, walking.<br /><br />I went to the physio and I can't remember what joint they said it was, but I went lots of times of massage and stretching (helped a lot) and now I wear a smiley belt every day (under my clothes) to help support it.. it's still sore but no where near as sore as it was.<br /><br />If I was you I'd definately go to the physio, and look into getting a smiley belt <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> ]]>

I've tried physio which really didn't help.  I think I've got used to the pain now, and try and manage it as best as possible.  I struggle to turn over in bed without the pain, walk, even sitting down for long periods of time aggravates it.<br /><br />Definitely see if you can get a referral to have some physio, as it may help you.  Otherwise panadol and wheatbags and/or a hot water bottle may help.  The one thing that I found that helped in bed, was wearing satin pj bottoms.. they seem to help you roll over better.<br /><br />Hope you get it sorted.. ]]>
